Black River Water Trail

In general the upper Black River near Bangor is smaller and more challenging due to tree fall while the lower sections near South Haven are easier with less tree fall and a wider river. Recently, two new access sites to the river have been added; one on Phoenix Street (HWY 388) and a new one in 2026 off of Blue Star Highway.
